For those who do not know these cameras they are the zenith of classic manual focus design. They are surprisingly small, feel great in your hand and have a huge viewfinder, larger than the later HP designs (it is true!) and drastically larger than current digital cameras.
This is the first version of the FM with the cool knurling (bumps) on the rewind knob. Note that it has an On/Off switch surrounding the shutter release.
These cameras are perfect for people who know how to use a camera and prefer to set the controls directly rather than relying on automatic settings and menus and they are also the best way to learn photography. This one comes ready to shoot with the Nikkor 43-86mm f3.5 zoom lens.
This camera is in excellent condition with light wear. There is an engraving on the bottom (see photos) but it is only cosmetic. The shutter and meter are accurate. There are a few pieces of dust in the viewfinder but they do not get in the way of framing or focus and do not impact your images. The glass is clean and scratch-free with no haze, fungus or other problems. The focus and zoom are smooth and the aperture is dry and snappy. We have replaced the light seals (a $75 Value).
The lens cap and batteries are included.
