Here is rare piece of American WWII history! Dubbed the "American Leica" this camera aimed to copy the Leica IIIa as trading with Germany had stopped. These cameras never saw the battlefield, however, as the initial production units began shipping in 1945 when the war had already come to a close.
This camera is in excellent working condition with little cosmetic wear. The shutter is strong and accurate. The lens has some light cleaning marks on the front element (see photos) that are purely cosmetic and will not affect image quality. The lens glass is scratch-free with a smooth aperture.
A leather ever-ready case is included.
